Never Made It Home

These old bones may not be drifting any more, but I sure never made it home, no I never made it home.

Nobody told you how to live, and you sure did it your way, everybody knows you are a rebel, pushing when you ain't got a body any more, you got a mess of pain, but nobody will ever hear you complain.

These old bones may not be drifting any more, but I sure never made it home, no I never made it home.

Now the light grows dim and I can feel the pressure of the clock, everybody around me is dieing, looks like I might be the last rebel standing, looks like I just might be the last in a long, long line. Time for me to strap on my gun, time for this old rebel to make some noise, cause you know a gator cain't change his teeth, live by the song, die by the song.

These old bones may not be drifting any more, but I sure never made it home, no I never made it home.
